- Legends and stories, each more fascinating than the last, surrounding this mythical route.
- All kinds of inspiring landscapes, from lakes to peaks, passing through pastures and UNESCO World Heritage vineyards.
- A mischievous nail that got lodged in my tire! Which resulted in a bad flat tire at dusk and a few cold sweats, the details of which I'll spare you.
- Swiss nooks and crannies I had never heard of before, with unseen landscapes and villages.
- Lovely hosts, not to mention a few nights camping under the stars (hello shooting stars).
- Some products and producers like Jacques, Laure, René and the others... with whom I now dream of working: To be continued!
The Triporter Heart Road
Hello everyone! I'm writing to you straight after dismounting from my wheeled steed, because I've just had an amazing adventure and I have to tell you all about it!
This journey had tempted me for many years, so I decided to take advantage of the summer holidays to finally get in the saddle (if you know what I mean)... in search of ever more local adventures.
Do you know Route 99? The Swiss equivalent of America's Route 66, with at least as many epic and breathtaking landscapes (minus the scorpions and snakes), the Heart Route crosses Switzerland from West to East. What's on the agenda? 13 off-the-beaten-path stages, on rarely used roads and paths, for 13 days of discoveries in the fresh air!
So I set off one beautiful August day (the first, to be exact, the best day of the year ^^) on my electric tricycle, which would help me carry supplies of small Swiss biscuits to share with the cyclists I met along the way... but also to climb the 12 km of positive elevation gain that awaited me!
