Creator of Agathe's identity, the sparkling eye behind these lively illustrations and extraordinary adventures, can you tell us about your profession?
Sara: Dear Agathe, my job is to imagine and visualize abstract ideas.
And at Agathe, what exactly do you do?
Sara: I design Agathe's packages and bring Agathe to life in the enchanted setting that is Switzerland.
When the project started, did you already know where you wanted to take our baking and good-product enthusiast? How did that happen?
Sara: The instructions from our head chef (Hello Alexis Richard) were very clear: Swissness, Swissness, and then more Swissness. Granted, I had never heard that word, but I had a pretty good idea of what the "Swiss" part of the word represented: meticulousness, attention to detail, cuteness of all kinds. My wish was for Agathe to make our hearts beat as much as she stimulates our taste buds.
Where do you get all these crazy and improbable ideas? Is gentle madness innate in you?
Sara: Switzerland is full of living treasures; it's not common to find yourself in settings worthy of the most delirious films: a life-size Alice in Wonderland. Thanks to Agathe's character, biscuits become a pretext for adventure.
And Agathe's values and commitments, are they a driving force for you every day? Is this reflected in the clients you choose?
Sara: My driving force is to celebrate Switzerland, to appreciate and cherish the place where I have decided to live. My values and Agathe's converge in the commitment to local engagement, as Agathe promotes and is committed to short supply chains and organic products.
If tomorrow you were stranded on a desert island and could only bring one biscuit, which one would you choose?
Sara: I would take Lemon Rounds (and I would hide some Chocolate Mischiefs in my pockets).
Do you have a juicy anecdote to tell us about your Agathe-esque adventure? We want to know everything…
Sara: The logo almost turned out very differently, I'll share the abandoned ideas on my account.
