Three Vaudois recipes
Never two without three, as they say! You've probably already savoured our delicious Dorés Beurrés and our crispy Mini-flûtes made with artisanal Jorat butter. It is with undisguised pride and a drum roll that we present the revisited recipe for Carameuhles! Now, Vaudois flour, butter, and eggs enhance this irresistibly crunchy biscuit. The small pieces of cream caramel are still supplied by our Basel friends from Läckerli Huus. Enough to make more than one gourmet salivate, right?
If your taste buds are already tingling as much as ours while devouring these lines, then join Agathe and her love for the Canton of Vaud and let yourself be tempted by certified Vaud+ local products. Your palate and the planet will thank you!
Agathe declares her love for the Canton of Vaud
The most attentive among you will have already noticed the small “Vaud+ Produits, certifiés d’ici” logo on some of our packaging. Do you know this label? No, not yet? Then grab a little Swiss Vaudois biscuit, settle down in your favourite reading nook, and embark on a gourmet adventure with Agathe!
Local, as much as you want in Vaud!
The "Vaud+ Produits, certifiés d'ici" certification is a program that aims to promote and enhance local products from our beautiful canton. It guarantees the local origin of your favourite small Swiss biscuits and highlights our support for the regional economy.
To qualify, we must prove that more than 80% of the ingredients used in the production of our biscuits come from the Canton of Vaud. This is ideal, as we work hand in hand with our friends, producers Jacques Yerly in Granges-près-Marnand for flour, Laure Stettler in Vucherens for eggs, and René Pernet in Peney-le-Jorat for butter, and we bake our biscuits in our small biscuit bakery in Nyon. In addition to supporting the local economy, our choice to work with Swiss suppliers and short supply chains massively reduces the carbon footprint associated with long-distance product transport. The illustration speaks for itself:
